An all-in-one fitness class suitable for everyone, FaMA Fit incorporates moves from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Muay Thai, Boxing and Kickboxing together with functional training to help develop flexibility, mobility, strength, balance, and stamina. FaMA Fit and FaMA Fit Fundamentals classes are run by professional athlete Coach Kirstie Gannaway.
The entry level version of FaMA Fit, this class is suitable for anyone looking to get back into shape by starting with basic movement patterns and getting a taste of Martial Arts training concepts. It is a suitable class for all levels, but with a focus on basics and building strong training foundations.
The class consists of basic movement drills derived from striking and grappling, basic bodyweight exercises to develop overall strength, as well as various other drills with a focus on improving agility, flexibility, stability and explosiveness.
For anyone looking to get fit through Martial Arts, FaMA Fit is a high intensity interval structured training session that incorporates concepts derived from striking and grappling.
Students will have the opportunity to work on flexibility, agility, strength, core and endurance. This will be achieved with dynamic and functional movements and concepts with a Martial Arts influence.
For women looking to get fit through Martial Arts among other women with the same interests and common goals, this class consists of a mix of concepts explored in the FaMA Fit and Fundamentals class.
This class will be adjusted depending on the experience in fitness and/or Martial Arts that the students have. It will involve concepts and movement patterns that will focus on strengthening, conditioning, flexibility, agility and stability to name a few.
