Our Kids Martial Arts classes offer a choice of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and/or Muay Thai programmes which have been specially designed for children of all skill levels. Several studies have suggested that children who participate in sports experience positive development in their self-esteem and confidence, which supports our belief that the skills children learn through our Kids Martial Arts programmes here in Singapore will benefit them beyond their time in the academy.
AGES 4 - 6
In the Little Warriors program, students will spend their time learning about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, where they learn by play through BJJ games such as 'Riding the Bull' and 'Taking Down the Giant' – all in a fun and safe environment. These games will complement any existing exercise or training and help improve balance, speed, agility and mental readiness.
The Medium Monstros class is the next step up from the Little Warriors. With the use of technical terms we help identify more specific techniques, drills and sequences for your child’s BJJ development. They will also be involved in more sparring all under the watchful eyes of our Professors and Coaches.
In the Junior Champions program, students will gain insights into techniques and tournament rules from experienced BJJ competitors of the highest level.
AGES 7 - 12
A more dynamic form of grappling in comparison to traditional BJJ, the Kids BJJ No-Gi requires just as much precision in the moves and helps to develop faster reflexes.
AGES 4 - 12
In the Little Tigers program at FaMA, students are encouraged to learn through play, with attributes being honed by mini-games such as dodgeball for developing evasive footwork, fastest punch contests to train retractions, and kicking a ball off a stick to refine kicking techniques. There is minimal contact between students and no sparring, for safety reasons.
Kids Private Classes
These private training sessions are tailored around the needs of the student. It provides an opportunity for children to fast track their learning, focus on areas of concerns and work on specific martial arts goals, at a time that is convenient to the student.
This class is not applicable to the free-week trial.
