A new year is here. As most do during this season, you might be thinking of finally committing to getting fit (especially after all that festive feasting), or trying out a new hobby.

Not everyone has the luxury of time - or energy - in one day. You are interested in taking a Muay Thai class, but can’t help but be curious about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and our FaMA Fit classes too. Consider spreading out your options over different days in the week, so you don’t feel completely wiped out.


2. You can figure out which class timing works for you.


FaMA runs morning, lunchtime and evening classes every weekday, and morning and afternoon classes on the weekend. We know that not everyone can be at the gym in the evenings due to family commitments; likewise, not everyone works near the city and can pop in for a lunchtime class. Make full use of your one-week trial to try as many classes as you want at any time of the day, in order to figure out what works best for your schedule.



Who knows, you might end up attending more than one class a day? (Our hardcore fitness buffs do that!)


3. You get to know our community better.


While we’re at it, we thought to let you know that the one week also gives you an opportunity to meet different people and make new friends! Folks from varied walks of life enter our gym at different classes of the day, and you will always get to meet someone new and interesting at each respective class. We also have different coaches who lead the classes at specific times of the day, and this is a good chance for you to learn the same techniques from different perspectives.



It isn’t just about learning a martial art or meeting an objective of getting fit at FaMA. Many of our members stay, precisely because of the community. Get a taste of hanging out with the FaMAly for yourself. The one week here allows you to be immersed and do just that!


4. You have ample opportunity to decide if martial arts is for you!


We know that martial arts is not for everyone. However, it’s not a given that everyone will be able to tell from the first day of class. This is precisely why we are so adamant to try us out for a week. Allow yourself to give martial arts a go for a few days, and if you conclude at the end of it all that martial arts is really not for you, we understand. At least, you know you were open to trying. Also, you now have something to boast from within your life experiences at the next party icebreaker!
